Sid4 adaptive optic
WebProduct Description. The SBIG AO-X is a large aperture AO designed to be compatible with all large format SBIG cameras. It requires an off-axis guide camera behind the AO; typically the StarChaser SC-3 is used. The AO-X is compatible with the Aluma AC4040 and Aluma AC2024 cameras, when used with a StarChaser SC-3. WebAdaptive optics (AO) is a technique that removes the atmospheric disturbance and allows a telescope to achieve diffraction-limited imaging from the ground. This is critical in achieving the maximum S/N given in equation (1).The basic idea of AO is to first measure the amount of atmospheric disturbance, then correct for it before the light reaches the camera.
